Job description
Hiring: Assistant Medical Biller
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior medical billing experience, strong organizational skills, and a thorough understanding of insurance claims processing and reimbursement procedures.
Responsibilities:
Assist with medical billing and coding processes
Prepare, submit, and track insurance claims
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits
Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims
Post payments and reconcile accounts
Maintain accurate patient billing records
Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and billing guidelines
Qualifications:
Previous experience in medical billing required
Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding preferred
Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High school diploma or equivalent; medical billing certification is a plus
