Are you an active New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation? Earn starting pay of $21.00 per hour, plus performance bonuses, while helping seniors and adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

We have multiple full-time and part-time CHHA openings throughout Bergen County, New Jersey. Choose from flexible day, morning, midday, evening, and overnight shifts.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

  • Location: Bergen County, NJ

  • Starting Pay: $21.00 per hour

  • Additional Pay: Performance and referral bonuses

  • Employment: Full-time and part-time

  • Driver Required: Yes—valid license and reliable transportation required

Available CHHA Shifts

  • Day shifts: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

  • Morning shifts: 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

  • Midday shifts: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM

  • Evening shifts

  • Overnight shifts

  • Additional flexible assignments may be available

CHHA Responsibilities

As a BrightStar Care CHHA, you will:

  • Provide compassionate personal care and companionship

  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal support

  • Help with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation

  • Operate a Hoyer lift safely when required

  • Observe and report changes in a client’s condition

  • Follow the established care plan

  • Maintain a safe and comfortable home environment

  • Protect each client’s dignity, privacy, and independence

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • An active New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide license

  • A valid driver’s license

  • Reliable transportation

  • A current physical examination completed within the past 12 months

  • A current PPD test or chest X-ray

  • Current CPR certification

  • Compassion, dependability, and professional communication skills

Hoyer lift transfer experience is preferred.
