Large multi-specialty healthcare organization in Northern NJ is hiring for a Medical Biller/Denials Specialist as well as a Credentialing Specialist. The following is preferred, but not required:
Job Description for Medical Biller/Denials Specialist-Knowledge of Ophthalmology ICD-10 and CPT coding-Knowledge of CPT code modifiers and bundling rules-Knowledge of medical policies per insurance carrier-Knowledge of ophthalmology/retina terminology-Ability to read an Explanation of Benefits and understanding of the denials process-Minimal auditing skills to review charting-Ability to communicate with doctors and/or their staff regarding coding corrections-Monitor missing slips, interface errors and incomplete charts to ensure all billing is sent out-Handle denials for coding errors such as missing modifiers, incorrect diagnosis codes, etc.-Ability to submit a high volume of claims on a daily basis-Previous medical billing experience preferred-Knowledge of Athena and Nextech preferred

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
