About the Role
The Patient Accounts Clerk II plays a key role in supporting billing and administrative operations within the Patient Accounts Department. This position is responsible for managing data input and output in the IST Medipac System, resolving errors, submitting missing ancillary charges for billed accounts, processing bad debt write-offs, and performing various online account adjustments.
Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
Provide billing and clerical support within the Patient Accounts Department
Manage data input and output in the IST Medipac System
Identify and correct billing errors to ensure accuracy
Submit missing ancillary charges for previously billed accounts
Process bad debt write-offs in accordance with department procedures
Perform various online account adjustments and updates
Maintain accurate records and documentation for all billing activities
Collaborate with team members to support efficient workflow and timely account resolution
Qualifications:
What You’ll Bring
High School Diploma or GED certification required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a medical setting, preferably in a medical office or clinic
Experience in physician billing strongly preferred
Solid understanding of insurance coverages and medical terminology
Proficient in using personal computers and related software
Strong background in financial transactions and record keeping
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to remain professional and provide quality customer service in high-pressure environments

Compensation
The expected hourly range for this position is TC/1800: Probationary Rate$26.10 - Job Rate $26.60- Two (2) Year Rate $27.40 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
