Certified Home Health Aide Needed in Union City, NJ
Job Overview: As a Home Health Aide, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate care to individuals in their homes and/or rehabilitation facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to enhancing the quality of life for those in need of support.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care services, including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
Assist clients with meal preparation and cooking nutritious meals tailored to their dietary needs.
Help with medication administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of client care activities.
Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning and laundering to ensure a safe and hygienic environment.
Support clients in engaging with their community through social interaction and recreational activities.
Follow established care plans while adapting to the changing needs of clients.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members regarding any changes in client condition or needs.
Qualifications
MUST have an active CHHA license in the state of New Jersey.
Previous experience in long-term care or home community care is preferred.
Familiarity with medical terminology and basic medical record keeping.
Ability to follow care plans and understand systems related to patient care.
Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to caregiving.
Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with caregiving, including lifting or assisting clients as needed.
A valid driver's license may be required for transportation purposes depending on client needs.
